Borderlands playtrough 1

Like I said in a previous post, this game was the most fun I've had playing multi player. When I got the game at midnight, I played it for 5 hours with friends straight! There is plenty to do, plenty of guns to collect. Now if you ask me about the story, i couldn't tell you, because it take s backseat to the game. All i would do is activate the quest and go to the marker on the map and do what it said. From what I could tell, there is this cave or mine that's is locked and opens every 200 years, and when we jump into the game that time has come, but to open it it requires several keys. After doing a few side quest and main story quest, they give you kind of a boss quest where you have to defeat the person and grab one of the keys.

Playing alone is probably one of the downsides of this game, because after playing for hours with your friends and having a blast knocking out quest after the quest, it's just not as fun, but still good. the driving mechanics are good, I know allot of people had complaints about it. towards the end of the game is where it gets freaking hard, they bring in two new enemies to deal with. Again, I wasn't paying attention to the story so i don't really know where they came from. I had a friend who had already beaten it, help me trough the final battle...which didn't make much sense BUT was still fun to play.

So me and a couple of friends knocked out a few achievements, finished up whatever I needed done, and i started my second play trough , which starts you with the level and weapons you finished the game with. the enemies at the starting area are now harder and at around your level. It's almost as if you need more than one person to play trough the second time, because it is a pain.

My final thoughts of Borderlands is...PLAY IT! Sure the story doesn't really make sense, but who cares it's just plain fun, a mindless shooter that you can play roughly 30 hours with your friends. no game can or has done that. And there is 4 classes to play trough, so there is plenty of replay there.
