Short #2564

Great and frustrating day with my kid.

Took a nap with Liam for almost 3 hours..it was refreshing.

Went to Iguana Mack's with some friends. Now I'm watching X-Files seaon 5. The best season in the series IMO.

That is all. Great weekend!

Another crazy day

Another busy day.

Had menudo with the family around 8 AM. Then hung out with my dad before he left around 11. Worked some more on the window. Almost done!

at 3 took Liam to our local public pool to swim, it was fun. Except standing out in the sun for a few hours drains your. I was soo tired afterwards. I think I took a power nap while my mom watched Liam.

We all went to a friends Birthday party, it was ok, kind of only went because it was my moms good friend. They did have a margarita machine wich made things better.

Came home and spent about an hour and a half looking at News bloopers on youtube....yeah I have no clue.

NIGHT!

Who's going to be the third!?

So Gary Coleman died yesterday, and today Dennis Hopper. Now Coleman was a child actor and never really achieved fame, he still was well known. Hopper was a legend to most people.

Celebrity deaths always comes in threes...who's going to be the third!? Let's hope NOBODY!

Crackberry part 2

Had a chance to fully test the Blackberry Bold 9700. I unplugged it from the charger around 5 AM yesterday morning. I used this phone heavily trough out the day. From phone calls to tons of text messages and taking a lot of photos, while running Twitter and Facebook, doing some browsing on the web. All this running on 3G.

At one point I used the GPS navigation to get to a location, while it didn't have voice directions, it worked perfect, following my car, even telling me how fast my car was going.

The battery is finally about to die...19 hours later! Holy cow this has to be one of the longest lasting battery's in the market. I considered the iPhone to be the best phone ever. But this blows it out of the water.

Great day

Today was pretty busy. Started out by putting a new huge window on the side of the house. 6inishing it up tomorrow. Then doing a bunch of clean up for it.

Helped my mom out with the day care since she's been having some pain in her kidney. had my kid there to.

My Dad is visiting for a couple of days so he can see Liam.

Went and picked my sister up 30 minutes away from my house out in BFE. She was at a basketball tournament.

Crazy but fun day. Me and my dad went out earlier and got stuff to make menudo, its cooking now and will be ready in the morning!

Window part 2

We are getting there. More improvising than anything. But I think it looks pretty good so far.

Window

Putting another window on the house...my mom is crazy!

Crackberry

My contract ended earlier today. I had a Blackberry Curve. It was ok but the internet sucked on it, and it was very slow. So I decided to get me a new one.

Got the BB Bold 9700 and I'm liking it so far. I can listen to pandora while sending out texts or Tweeting. The battery life is ridiculously long. I've had in on 3G all day and its still going strong. Also the camera is pretty good, haven't messed around with the video camera yet.

Got my kid a day early since his mom is going in for surgery. As usual had a blast with him.

My friend Josh from Flagstaff is coming down with his family on Monday, can't wait to hang with them.

Sick?

Feel a little worn out. Feels like I'm coming down with something. Gonna drink lots of water and take it easy.

Finished Red Dead Redemption's single player. Gonna write a review later...It's going to be a long entry.

Rented Blur. A fast paced racing game where instead of just trying to get to the finishing line. You have to do that too on top of getting power ups and using on other driver's. So you can be doing good and in first place..all of a sudden BOOM! A missile hits you causing your car to take huge damage and slowing you down. The same thing goes for Multiplayer. I'm really digging this game. And they released the beta for multiplayer a couple of months back and I played the hell out of it.

Lost. The end

The epic night of the series finale of Lost started at 6pm with a 2 hour retrospect. Watching that, made me go back and remember the times I watched Lost over the years.

It was summer of 2005, I was working as a manager at a movie theater. Back then i really didn't watch much TV. I would watch nothing but movies. Some of the employees where talking about a show Lost, and how awesome it was. I read up on it and liked the premise of it. So I waited to get into it when the entire first season came out on DVD. When it finally was released in early September, i rushed over to my local Walmart and purchased it. 15 minutes into the first episode I knew this was something I've never seen before. I was hooked. I think i watched 10 episodes that day. I wanted to finish the first season since the second was starting a week or two later. By the time I got to the end of season1, I wanted more. I never missed an episode since. And if I did, I would catch the episode online. This show has been a 5 year roller coaster ride. And I loved every minute of it, even though a lot of questions and the mysteries weren't really answered till much later into the series.

Now comes the finale we've all been waiting for. The end of one of the most popular television series of all time. This finale will answer the ultimate question. "What will happen at the end?"

The final episode ran for two and a half hours. Known for it's flash backs, and in season 3 fooled the viewers by thinking the show was using it's normal formula of flashbacks. But turning around and did "flash forwards" So the final season introduced a "Sideways" timeline. Where the plane crash never happened and the characters made it to Los Angeles. and when it finally came down to the final episode, I thought i had everything figured out. But it wasn't until the final 15 minutes where the series threw me a curve ball. And when LOST tittle card came on the screen, I was left confused for a bit, a little angry. But once I thought about it a little more, I thought it was a brilliant way to end the show.

I'm going to really miss this show. All the mysteries and unanswered questions it threw at us every week, and all the great characters that came and gone. The Jimmy Kimmel special they did after, that was 100% Lost. They brought on most of the characters interviewed then as a group.

All in all it was a great night.

Redemption

Been playing the hell out of Red Dead Redemption. My god...RDR would be a PERFECT MMO, so many things to do. I've done more things in this game than other huge games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Plus on top of that, it's actually a hell of a lot of fun to do. It's very easy to get lost in the world of the west.

Multiplayer is somewhat limited so far. The online was launched with some problems at first. But was fixed almost immediately. I was able to team up with some friends, we formed a posse, raided some gang hideouts. My favorite has to be all of us getting into a stage coach. I was the driver, had a buddy sitting next to me, and a couple of more in the carriage. We drove to one of the main town of the game, and did some drive by stage coaching on some townsfolk and actual players. It was epic. It's a massive place to explore with your friends. But like I said it's only limited. They are adding a DLC in June, which will add 6 new multiplayer missions. I hope they keep adding content to expand the world. So far this is the best game I've played in a loooong time. I just got to the third and final act of the game. I'll throw up a FULL review when I finish it.

Started watching Ken Burns "The War" and I am absolutely blow away about this documentary. I've always been a WWII buff, always been fascinated by the history of it. Here comes along this 12+ hour film, that covers the entire war. I got to part 3, every part is about 100 minutes. Ken Burns is the master of his craft. I will re-watch his magnum opus "The Civil War" I still remember watching it in history class back in the mid 90's.

I had gotten me a new black wireless controller (official Microsoft brand) It works fine and dandy....BUT the up button on the D-pad doesn't work too well. I have to push it a few times in order for it to work. Didn't do anything at first. But it started to effect the game play. So i called Game Stop, and they said they would swap it for another new one. No problem. New controller works perfectly.

So LOST ends tomorrow..and I can't believe it's going to take up an entire night. From 6pm to 8pm starting with a retrospective. Followed by the series finally, which is going to be 2 hours and 30 minutes long. There will be no news on that station that night. Instead Jimmy Kimmel will be shown with a LOST post special. I will be there!!!

Red Dead Redemption (First Impression)

Not a lot of people knew that Rockstar made a first one back in 2004. Red Dead Revolver an underrated gem for the PS3 and the Xbox.

So far I've done patrols for the town I'm currently staying in. Which involve shooting bandits or shooting fox's who are stealing chicken. I moved on to taming horses, and hurdling cattle. I went into town and won a coupe of games of poker. Played a few rounds of Multiplayer. While it's no Modern Warfare 2, it's still a lot of fun. So far I'm loving it, and I just barely cracked the surface of the single player game.

When I got to Gamestop at midnight, The store manager told me he was glad he ran into me there, which saved him a phone call. He said that he wants me at his store as a key holder position. Only problem is that he can't hire me until the current key holder leaves, he is leaving in a month. He can't hire me as a part time because there ain't no payroll for it. So we'll see what happens in a month.

Handicap story of the decade

Me and some friends where having a conversation the other day about general crap, usually nerd bull shit. When the topic of handicap parking came up….how? I have no dam clue. Someone commented on how handicap people are always so rude and pissed off when it comes to handicap parking spaces, and think that they are king of the world, just because they cant use some part of their body. Well I think I would be pissed and rude to the world if I lost the ability to walk to fuck etc. It reminded me of a funny incident that I remember to this day. The story goes:

Summer ’99 I worked at AMC theatres in Allwhiteukee, AZ. Great place for friends, and got to the point where I would just go to work because I would get to hang out with cool people, didn’t care much about the job. Anyways. I use to get a ride home from a guy named Adam Benfield. “Bucky” we use to call him, I have no clue why. He lived the closest to my house, so it was no problem since it was on the way. I remember he use to like a girl who worked with us (Don’t remember the name) . He would always talk about her, and tell me she’s hot etc. So i told him well why don’t you ask her out? Give her a ride home since she didn't have a car either. (97% of the people who worked there didn't have cars since we where pretty much tweens) It took him 2 weeks to muster up the courage to ask her if she needed a ride home one night. She agreed since she was a nice person, from what I remember. Since he was my ride as well I had to tag along. I offered to stay at the theatre while he gives her a ride home and ask her out, that way he won’t feel as embarrassed to do so. He declined.

So the 3 of us (I was in the back seat) begin to drive to her place. They where hitting it off. She was telling him how they should hang out, and how he’s a great guy. I thought to myself this should be cake for him to ask her out. We drive up to her apartment complex, He tries to find a spot to park so we could all continue to talk, since we where enjoying each others company, especially the two in the front. He can’t find a place to park. He parks behind some cars parked in the handicap spots. (What follows is for some reason something that has stuck with me for nearly a decade.) In frustration from not finding a parking spot, he Begins to rant off about how he thinks handicap people are “stupid” and annoying, ungrateful, bitchy. I mean he goes on and on, for a minute and a half to two minutes. We all sit in silent for a few seconds.

“My mom is in a wheelchair…” was her remark that broke the silence.

I let out a loud chuckle. I swear to god I didn’t mean to. It just came out.

She was pissed. Adam had no clue what to tell her. She got out of the car and left. I think he was half joking about what he said, but it was too late the damage had been done. It was a looong drive home, we both sat in silence, feeling bad. Well Adam felt bad, I was trying not to laugh at the situation. I don’t know exactly what happened to that girl after that. I know she didn’t talk to either of us again. In fact I don’t remember her working there after what happened….

This is merely 1 crazy event of many, That I witnessed in my time working at the theatre. I should write a tell all. Hmmmmmmmmm????

Game Stop?

Went to an interview for a part time gig at G-stop. Since I've worked there 2 times before (2002 and 2006) I was pretty much unofficially hired. You know pending Background check. They are going to find a store to throw me in.

Going trough an old blog I had with wordpress for a while and integrating those post into this blog. I would just delete it. But it has a lot of stuff and pics of my kid.

Saw Iron man 2 with the fam on Mother's day. While not as good as the first one, I still enjoyed it. Then went and ate Chipotle. Ended up at AZ mills mall for shopping for 4 hours!!!

The Human Centipede

This movie looks so f%*^% up! I'm kind of curious to see it, and doubt they will even show it in my area. The closest that they're showing it is in Tucson. I'll just wait for DVD. Here's soem more info on it.

EPIC LAN party

Threw a LAN party at my place. Had a lot of fun.

My Nephew turned 17...damn I feel old..very old. Had food and cake the whole Nine yards.

Bought a couple of games from the bargain bin at Gamestop. CSI Deadly intent and Gears of War. I got gears of war so i could get the achievements for going trough the campaign on hardcore mode, also playing it with the nephew. CSI..well I was curious, and felt like playing a point and click game. Honestly it ain't that bad. A sherlock Holmes game I've been waiting for FINALLY came out for the 360. But I'm waiting for it to come in Used, so i can return in if it sucks.

World Of Warcraft

I started playing WOW since day one (2004) and played it straight till summer of 2008, when I was finally burnt out. I've dabbled here and there, playing a month here a month there. But never kept it more than that.

Activated my old WOW account, played it for maybe an hour...fucking BORINGGGG! And I guess I just need to remind myself once In a while, that there was a reason I left that game. Absolutely a waste of time! A few years back I would ask my friend if he's playing wow. and pretty much every response he gave me was "Yeah i play, I don't have a kid, so of course I do." Now I always found it funny and annoying that he would always reply to me, then I found out that he's just a loner and a loser. I look at some of my friends or previous friends who play, and I see how addicted they are, it's kind of sad. One friend doesn't feed his hungry child until he's ran a 3 to 4 hour raid on WOW. I came close to that, I came pretty close to borderline Ignoring my new born child, so I could run a dungeons, and took a part in straining my relationship with my kid's mother. That was so f&^% pathetic. Now I'm not gonna blame WOW completely, since it takes two to tango. Turning to Console games, it proved to be a remedy to get me away from WOW, and a console system doest require you to run dungeons for 4 to 6 hours a day. I swore never to play games while I was with my kid, and I'm happy to say I've keep true to my word. Sure I would play when he would go to sleep but that's okay.

Now I might try it again when the new expansion comes out...MIGHT being the keyword. Since they are finally bringing new content to a boring MMO.

Fail

These pictures cracked me up.

Plants Vs. ZOMBIES

Sitting here typing on the new keyboard, my wireless one crapped out on me in less than a year. Got me a Logitech USB, and it feels sooo nice to type on. So glad Walmart is open 24 hours. My last one would always add an extra letter to most of my words and the Shift key would stick. (no it's not "man cream") On my way to the register I found this.....

I gave it a try, I really did. It was fun for about 2 weeks, then I stopped because it came to the point where in order to proceed, I had to pay ACTUAL money to do so, or wait a looong time to build up enough money to advance. It's kind of sad that they have this by the registers.

Speaking of walmart...The bike I got from there, ain't working properly. It wont stay in any of the gears, it will stay for about a minute, then it will change to the lower gear till it gets to the first gear, pretty disappointed. Looks like I'm paying a visit to walmart in the morning to get another bike. Can't really expect much since I paid $74 + tax. Also need to pick up a cushion for the seat..my ass was so soar after my 30 minute ride. Now I know what it feels like to take it up the A*%^%^.

Got to mention my first impression on a PC game that came out last year, a game I hesitated to pick up. Plants Vs. Zombies. This was the best $20 bucks I've ever spent.

It's a tower defense game, where you take control of different type of plants to ward off the dead. It may sounds stupid but believe, this works wonderfully. This game is funny and so much fun! I will throw up a review when I finally finish it.

MY EARS!

Ever since I can remember, I've always had some sort of problem with my ears. Ear infections, wax build up, hearing loss. Recently I woke up with the hearing in my left ear almost gone. I tried cleaning it with a q tip, but that only seemed to make it worse. So I went to the doctors. First they said my right ear is infected, then they said my left ear in FULL of wax. So I was referred to a NET.

The doctor told me that he will clean the wax out of my left ear. When he started cleaning my ears popped and I could hear normal again, it was soo weirs. the doc told me that there was a lot of wax in there, most likely built up over the years. He couldn't finish the job because there parts that had really hard wax, and if he tried to remove it, it could damage my hearing. So he told me to buy an over the counter Earwax removal kit, use it twice daily for 3 weeks, so It could help soften the wax. I go back on June 1st.

I can honestly say I haven't been able to hear this well in over a decade.

Yeeeey more pics!

Not a bad day spent with my kid. Mom has been pissed off at me and my sister for a few days now, so she's been short tempered with us lately, YET another reason I NEED to move out. I love my mom and all But sheesh! She makes life a little miserable.

Here are some picks from earlier this weekend, fun times.

Pic #1. Posing with his PIMP ride #2. At the park #3. All Smiles #4. Dodgers FAN!!
